Most Americans think artificial intelligence (AI) will negatively affect the U.S. job market, with 75% saying it will decrease the total number of jobs over the next 10 years. About one in five (19%) believe AI will not affect the number of jobs, while 6% say it will result in an increase in jobs.
What do you think? Are you seeing AI takeover jobs? Do you have examples you can share? Let us know..
Artificial intelligence is becoming smarter and smarter every day. I don’t think that it will be able to somehow replace people, but I think it will clearly affect the competition of developers
We must harness the benefits of AI to enhance our work processes.
I believe that automation will gradually replace certain tasks, but will also create new jobs in AI development and related fields.
I agree with the commenters here.
The labor market changes over time. Many professions have disappeared over the years, I think AI will take some of the jobs too, but don't panic.
I think that it is very possible that AI and robots would replace many professions like drives, cashiers or copyrighters or maybe even more advances jobs like doctors or programmers. But advancements in AI also should create a demand for new professions like it was during the industrial revolution which also greatly reduced demand in many professions but created demand in other.
I belive, that people can use AI for assistance only and for improving current processes and extending new areas. All in all, I do not belive, that AI will completely replace humans in their workplaces.
I suppose that certain roles might be replaced by AI-driven systems, particularly those involving repetitive tasks or data analysis. However, what sets humans apart is our capacity for creativity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability—qualities that can't be replicated by machines. These uniquely human skills will remain indispensable in numerous fields, from art and design to complex problem-solving and innovation.
Yes, I feel AI will take over very repetitive tasks that consume our daily lives and time. For example, if jobs like fast food ordering, manufacturing of vehicles, gardening, are taken over by AI at some point, this will allow for a new wave of more productive skills and jobs to be created.
We should be spending our time using our creativity to innovate every aspect of our lives. We should be networking and brainstorming how we can elevate our plane of existence and discover our potential as humans. AI should be used to our advantage to allow us to accomplish more in our day to spend more time with our families.
During a transition, will jobs be lost? Yes, but we can do what we have always done when new technologies are created and presented to the public…learn about them!! New skills are constantly being developed; which bring about new forms of education and job creation. We shouldn’t be scared of AI – better yet, we should embrace it as a new tool and harness its power for the good and progress of mankind.
